Iain M Banks – BBC

An excellent 5 minute interview with novelist Iain Banks from the BBC.

If you don’t know his work, Banks writes under two names: Iain M Banks writes science fiction while Iain Banks (no “M”) writes contemporary fiction, often with an interesting and dark twist, sometimes with a quirky science fiction edge, sometimes straightforward “real life”.  Sort of.

Well worth exploring.

  1. Did you read ‘Hydrogen Sonata’? Very good. But I recently re-read The Player of Games and *loved* it. Still, that’s a suckerpunch for an old-school games nut like me!
