To Be Different – Nicholas Bate

A reminder from Nicholas Bate – especially relevant to freelancers, interim managers and other sovereign professionals – to be different.

Competing on price is a race to the bottom, especially if you are any kind of information worker living in the developed world and competing against hungry, driven entrepreneurs from developing economies whose cost-base wouldn’t even pay for your morning kick-off cappuccino.  You need to differentiate, find your niche and simply be the very best at whatever you do.

Also, I rather like the text-and-doodle style which Nicholas has adopted for some of his pieces: dynamic, compelling and somehow organic.
