Take Back Your Attention – Tony Schwartz

Maintaining focus and attention is a challenge for everyone in these distractingly connected, always-on days.  I think it can be particularly so for those working alone.  No office structure to bolster your resolve, only self-imposed deadlines to meet and a dread fear of disconnecting from the net and missing an all-important email.  These all add to the lure of the endlessly fascinating blogs and news-wires which you simply must follow.

Tony Schwartz, on the HBR blog, offers a biological background and some strategies to take control, here.

I also captured an earlier post from Tony on my blog, here.
